On Thursday 28 April we were thrilled to welcome back to Heathfield Ashok from the OSCAR Foundation. In 2018 Heathfield hosted the OSCAR Kick Like A Girl tour and 15 OSCAR girls came to stay with us.
Ashok spoke to the whole School in Assembly to explain the life-changing work of OSCAR, a not-for-profit organisation. OSCAR uses football as a tool to deliver education and life skills sessions to underprivileged boys and girls in Mumbai and across India and provides a positive and life-changing alternative to life on the streets.
Students enjoyed football coaching with Ashok and everyone is excited about supporting the next OSCAR tour in 2023 and welcoming the team to stay at Heathfield.
