Situated in the Royal County of Berkshire, just 45 minutes from Central London and only 20 minutes to London Heathrow Airport, Heathfield is easily accessible to local, London and international families.
Heathfield School transport is provided by a professional and dedicated team of trained minibus drivers who are proud of the service they provide and would like to welcome your daughter on-board.
Heathfield’s minibus fleet is modern and comfortable; the buses are operated and maintained under current legislation and all our drivers have enhanced DBS clearance and a clean driving licence with D1 category as mandatory.
Minibus drivers complete a driving assessment prior to joining our team of drivers.
We look carefully at the annual routes each Summer and the viability of each route is dependent on the number of pupils that use the service, although we are always happy to discuss alternative or additional routes and pick up points with parents who would like their daughter to travel to school by bus.
Routes
Daily Mini Bus Service
Heathfield currently operates eight daily local transport routes, with more routes planned for September 2025:
Route 1 – Cookham, Taplow, Bray
Route 2 – Hammersmith, Chiswick
Route 3 – Langley, Datchet, Wraysbury, Virginia Water, Wentworth, Sunningdale, Ascot
Route 4 – Kingston Vale, Richmond
Route 5 – Farnham Common, Slough, Eton, Windsor, Oakley Green
Route 6 – Shinfield, Finchampstead
Route 7 – Henley, Bourne End, Marlow
The buses arrive at Heathfield by 8am each day and leave Ascot after clubs, activities and prep at 5.15pm Monday – Thursday and 4.15pm on a Friday.
Weekly London Mini Bus Service
Heathfield also operates a convenient weekly transport service to and from Central London for Boarders going home for the weekend.
Pupils leave school at 4:15pm on Friday evening. Currently, the bus drops off in Chiswick, Hammersmith and South Kensington. The return journey, on Sunday evening, leaves South Kensington at 6:15pm, with stops in Hammersmith and Chiswick and arrives at school around 7:30pm.
Please note timings are approximate and subject to traffic.
The associated cost is £25 per journey.
Application to join our service
If you would like to reserve a seat on one of our daily minibuses for your daughter(s) please email transport@heathfieldschool.net.
This is an indication of interest and not a firm booking; one term’s bus charge payment must be made in advance to secure a seat for your daughter. This can be added to your termly bill or paid by BACS transfer (if joining the route after the start of term).
Parents of pupils whose siblings already use the Heathfield mini bus service must also complete the forms.
Bookings are only accepted for the whole term – not part thereof.
Once we have received all relevant forms, we will be able to process your application and confirm your daughter’s seat via email.
Cancellation
Please note that half a term’s notice must be given to cancel your season ticket.
