Jonathan Williams, Headmaster, has set out a clear and ambitious vision for Heathfield’s future in a recent Talk Education ’10 Questions’ interview.
He advised that he was first drawn to Heathfield by its sense of community and the advantages of a smaller school where “every single child is truly known”. He highlighted the school’s strong heritage and traditions but emphasised a commitment to “raising the bar even higher” as Heathfield enters a new chapter.
Mr Williams identified three priorities for Heathfield students; integrity, ambition and innovation, describing them as essential qualities for young people navigating an increasingly dynamic world. Mr Williams also stressed the importance of balance, saying school “should be the very best years of your life.”
Looking ahead, he pointed to new developments at Heathfield which include the move to a co-educational Sixth Form from September 2026.
