“There is a difference between dining and eating. Dining is an art. When you eat to get most out of your meal, to please the palate, just as well as to satiate the appetite, that,my friend, is dining.”
Dining at Heathfield
The Heathfield girls eat all their meals in our dining room, which is well lit and spacious and forms a relaxing environment for them to enjoy a self-service style experience. It is our priority to ensure each student, regardless of her food preferences, can enjoy a variety of freshly prepared meal options every meal time.
A day in the life of a Heathfield girl is a very busy and active one, so our aim is to provide a menu which can fuel productivity and enhance concentration.
We also have a food committee for the students and there is a suggestion box in the dining room which enables them to make an instant suggestion straight to our Catering team.
There are several important occasions throughout the school year in which the girls are involved in a more formal dining set-up, including House Dinners and Sports Awards. In addition the Headmistress hosts dinners for our Upper Sixth girls.
