“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”

Mahatma Gandhi

Academic Life

The academic life of a school is not just the learning that takes place in class but the breadth and depth of activities both in and out of the classroom. Heathfield is renowned for its strong and vibrant creative and dramatic tradition. What is not so well known is that we are an academically rigorous and vibrant school where the corridors echo with scientific discovery and academic argument. Heathfield is aware that we are preparing our girls for careers which have not yet been discovered; it is vital therefore that our curriculum is skill based as well as ensuring that every girl has the relevant academic qualifications to progress onwards to her future goals.

“There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning.”

Jiddu Krishnamurti
