Proud of our Heathfield Girls Achieving Excellent Results
We are delighted that Heathfield girls have done well at A Level and at AS level. A quarter of grades achieved at A Level are at the highest grade A*. This high performance is again across a range of subjects including Maths, History of Art, English Literature, History, Art, Politics, Religious Studies and Photography. Nearly eighty per cent of the girls achieved at least one A grade at A Level. Six girls achieved all A or A* grades. Girls have already secured places at King’s, Bristol, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Leeds to read subjects including Biochemistry, Civil Engineering, Theology, History, English, Archaeology and Anthropology.
Heathfield’s 2012 GCSE Success
Despite the national publicity surrounding the change in grade boundaries, Heathfield had real success stories with 22% of the cohort gaining 10 A*/As each. Many congratulations to all the GCSE girls and we look forward to welcoming them back ready to take on the challenge of A Levels.
“I am extremely proud of each individual Heathfield girl who has received her A Level, AS Level and GCSE results during August. It is fantastic that all their hard work has paid off and our UVI girls can now go out into the wider academic world with their heads held high to expand their horizons further. AS Level and GCSE girls also performed to an impressive standard and we look forward to working with each girl so she can achieve her maximum potential in the new academic year” said Jo Heywood, Headmistress.
