Last year, Robert was awarded an ABRSM medal for an exceptional grade 8 score and was the winner of the Reading Symphony Orchestra 2014 Young Musician competition. Among his music programme which was weighted on the romantic side, he enthralled the audience with his first piece – Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata. The concert was then followed by Schubert’s Impromptu, Liszt’s Liebestraume No.3, Debussy’s Girl with the Flaxen Hair and Chopin’s Scherzo No. 1, Nocturne Op. 27 and Ballade No.1. For an encore piece, he played Copland’s Cat and Mouse which wrapped up the concert showcasing Robert’s true showmanship and musicianship.
