The UK lockdown meant many students could not sit their public English exams. So, this year, Heathfield candidates caught up with around twenty exams passed over the last academic year.

The general intermediate level exam (PET) saw Selena (FIII), Ochi (FII) and Diana (FI) gain Merit passes (70%+) along with Anastasia, Carolina, Daniela, Laura, Lola and Nellina (FII) who all gained distinctions (80%) or double distinctions (90%). Form III students Carlota, Inès (pictured) and Mafalda plus Ella (FIV) passed their Upper-Intermediate four-hour long exams, and they are all awarded the First Certificate in English (FCE) equivalent to a GCSE in English.

Isabel and Maria (FIV) secured pass grades in the exceedingly difficult Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) which can be used as evidence of a pass at A Level English. In Sixth Form, Nastia gained a pass in General IELTS while Eira, M-J and Stephanie all sat the Academic IELTS exam gaining scores between 7.0 and 8.5 to secure their places at the universities of their choice. Well done to all!
