Phoebe in Area Finals of Music Competition

Form V pupil Phoebe won the Vocal Section of the RIBI (Rotary International of Great Britain and Ireland) National Young Musician Competition against competitors from schools in and around Ascot.

Phoebe performed two different musical pieces in front of three independent adjudicators including a rendition of ‘Let it Go’ from the ‘Frozen’ film score.

She will now compete in the Thames Valley area final in Reading on Sunday, March 15.

The National Young Musician Competition is a well-established and successful competition promoted by Rotary International in Britain and Ireland and sponsored by Harrods.

It is a four stage national competition designed to support and encourage the development of musical talent. The competition is open to all grades and types of amateur young instrumentalists and vocalists.
